Every year, five very lucky and well prepared individuals are chosen by media tech teacher, Mr. Fuentes, to represent C.C.Winn High School and be a part of the Frontera Film Festival Pub Tour team! The name was FOMO in the South Fest and students were encouraged to dress in western wear. This year, the location that was decided to tour was the city of none other than Laredo, Texas! These individuals prepared a presentation and special dance to give and present to each and every school they attended which consisted of: Nixon, Laredo United, Laredo South, LBJ, and the performing arts school in Laredo. This was all done to promote the film festival in Eagle Pass and to basically encourage all of these schools to participate and submit into our festival. We socialized, laugh, promoted our fest, and also ate pretty good food along the way. We also introduced a presentation on how to use an application called Aurasma, which is when a normal still image becomes a trigger and it comes to life. It was a three day overnight trip and despite of the many types of audience types we got and some bumps along the road, in the end we came out victorius and even networked with other schools for potential collaborations on projects in the future. It was truly a highlight of everyones year!
